Once they had gotten into position, the world around them grew unimportant, almost like it simply seized to exist in the same moment they locked eyes. Days of Innocence
The light of the sun that shined down on his face was what woke him from his shallow dreams. Slowly, his eyes tried to open up, only to immediately close again when they were blinded by the strength of the rays.
With a soft groan, the young teen gently rolled over to his side to turn away from the light. Almost every muscle inside commanded him to resume his sleep and shut off again. Even though the male had gone to bed early the day prior, his body still felt tired and exhausted, like the hours of sleep before had never happened. He really hadn't slept well.

Even the moon had abandoned their accursed hunt that night.
Like a bad omen, it had hidden behind the clouds that blocked out the night sky and enveloped the empty fields below in pitch black darkness; leaving the pawns of the Dark One shrouded in the black void that they had found life in so long ago, with only the silent wind to accompany them on their journey.
They wondered if this had been the doing of the Abyss-father, perhaps to ensure they would not be caught in the fire before they could full fill their purpose, like so many of their brethren before them. But then again, it mattered little. Even if they were all wiped out by the Gua
